Solutions Engineer

Department: Engineering
Reports to: CTO

Position Summary

Impilo is building the infrastructure layer for at-home healthcare. Our platform enables healthcare providers to manage their medical device inventory, ship devices to patients, and view real-time data from those devices.

As a Solutions Engineer at Impilo, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering, sales, and account management. You’ll work closely with new and existing customers to design, implement, and configure solutions that meet their needs — and you won’t just hand off requests. You’ll roll up your sleeves to write code, fix issues, and ensure our platform delivers a smooth onboarding and operational experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales and account management teams to lead technical onboarding for new customers.
  • Gather customer requirements and translate them into product configurations, integrations, and technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues in real-time and implement code fixes or scripts when needed.
  • Conduct technical demos and explain our platform capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Configure and maintain customer environments, ensuring data accuracy and secure device integrations.
  • Collaborate with engineering to escalate and resolve complex issues, and advocate for product improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Document solution designs, implementation steps, and customer-specific configurations.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the customer lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical role (solutions engineering, software engineering, implementation engineering, or similar).
  • Experience in SaaS product environments, preferably in healthcare, IoT, or data-driven products.
  • Familiarity with our stack (Angular, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL) a plus; strong technical fundamentals required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and willingness to learn our stack.
  • Understanding of web application architecture, APIs, and database concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and delivering quick fixes.
  • Comfortable with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.

Physical Requirements

  • In-office presence in Philadelphia preferred; some travel to customer sites may be required.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, conduct demonstrations, and work at a computer for extended periods.
