Ribbon is an early-stage startup looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in an agile environment and can juggle both ends of the tech stack.
We’re looking to grow our team with a product-minded Senior Full Stack Engineer excited to work across the stack and take our user experience to the next level.
What you will be doing:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement software features and functionality.
Ship experiences to help beneficiaries inherit their passed loved one's financial assets
Own the full development lifecycle of our frontend architecture
Work closely with design to create pixel-perfect applications
Build functional, aesthetic, and modular UI components for the foundation of our web products
Prototype new ideas and iterate toward the ideal user experience
Manage scope, timeline, and budget to support the mission of the team
You’ll be working primarily in React and Typescript with a serverless stack backend
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Ensure software meets quality standards through code reviews, testing, and automation.
Participate in an agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Who you are
5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience working with some combination of Node / JS, React/Typescript (or similar framework), Postgres (or a similar relational database), and MongoDB / NoSQL.
A track record of shipping stable web-based software products.
Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
Experience building fast, reliable cloud applications
Love diving into new challenges and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
Take ownership of valuable projects, communicate strategies, and execute autonomously.
Appreciate the balance between solid engineering and moving quickly to get things right the first time. Technical debt is okay, we’ll refactor it later!
Bonus points for:
Familiarity with SST(serverless stack)
DevOps experience with AWS, and CI/CD tools
Passion for Fintech/Finance
GraphQL
