About the role

Tabs, Inc. is seeking a site reliability engineer to join our team and work closely with our CTO to help develop and scale our platform infrastructure. As a member of our early stage startup, they’ll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the company and make a meaningful impact on our success.

What You’ll Do

• Help build and establish our entire core SRE function

• Design and implement highly scalable and reliable systems

• Partner internally with CTO and the other engineers to improve performance, scalability, reliability and observability of our infrastructure

• Deliver improvements to our infrastructure and internal tooling while also establishing best security practices across the team

• Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement proactively

• Aid in building our engineering organization

About You

• 5+ years of engineering experience

• Experience building platform and infrastructure services from scratch, while being resourceful in a constrained resource environment

• Experience writing automation scripts in a modern language, such as Python

• Proactive learner and strong design to stay up to date with the latest advancements in software engineering

• A strong foundation in computer science principles

• Previous work in an AWS-driven environment and exposure to the full end-to-end product development lifecycle

• Strong understanding of modern SDLC best practices

• Ability to be on-call as needed and establish general on-call schedule for the engineering team
