About the Role

We are looking for an NYC-based Senior Software Engineer to join our team as a key member of the growing engineering function. This individual will report to and partner closely with the Co-Founder & CTO to innovate and scale our technical infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the technical trajectory and serve as a mentor to emerging talent.

What You’ll Do

• Work with a team of engineers to build and launch new features

• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends

• Work with product managers and designers to gather requirements and specifications

• Participate in productizing our accounts receivable workflows

• Deliver weekly product updates

• Aid in building our engineering organization

• Serve as a mentor and day-to-day point person for other engineers on the team

Who You Are

• 6+ years of engineering experience

• The ability to work directly with product managers and designers to build the right product based on the known information

• Significant experience building systems that scale with startup growth

• Experience building platform services like APIs, message queues, and databases from scratch, while being resourceful in a constrained resource environment

• Have experience on the backend with Typescript with Node or Python, but any strongly type OOP language is fine

• Have used both SQL and No-SQL databases

• Have a passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest advancements in backend, data, and AI engineering

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and other engineers

• Strong foundation in computer science and coding, including experience with scripting and object-oriented programming
