Ribbon is an early-stage startup looking for a talented Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in an agile environment and can manage both ends of the tech stack.
We’re looking to grow our engineering team with a Senior Software Engineer (Front-End Focus) interested in working across the stack and shaping the future of our infrastructure for scale.
What you will be doing
Build and create with JavaScript across the platform. Build delightful user experiences in React and power them with a reliable backend in Node.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Ensure software meets quality standards through code reviews, testing, and automation.
Participate in an agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Improve our engineering infrastructure for scalability and maintainability.
Who you are
5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience building scalable production-level applications. (A history of excellent projects is required)
A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
Knowledge of modern tech stacks and frameworks, including AWS serverless architecture. With a combination of Node / JS, React (or similar framework), Postgres (or similar relational database), and MongoDB / NoSQL.
A proven track record of shipping stable web-based software products.
Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Innately curious and brave enough to consider new payment paradigms or verticals for applications, can navigate low information environments
Execution-oriented, excited by the high-ownership nature of joining a team at this stage
Interested in building a top-class engineering culture from the ground up.
Appreciate the balance between solid engineering and moving quickly to get things right the first time. Technical debt is okay, we’ll refactor it later!
