The Head of Finance oversees the financial management and reporting activities at the direction of the CEO. They assist in the budget planning as well as supporting the executive management team in offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. They wear multiple hats and need to adapt to the dynamic nature of the business. Flexibility, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and lead the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on strategic decisions.
  • Experience in providing relevant information during Due Diligence for international investors and Shareholders.
  • Create, monitor and manage driver based budgets while tracking against actuals.
  • Prepare and present the MIS to the leadership in a timely manner.
  • Provide insights and analysis to support key business decisions.
  • Lead the annual consolidated and group level audit with support of the CEO and Board.
  • Leading the FP&A and measuring results.
  • Build, Analyse and Own multiple driver based budgets (P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet).
  • Present financial reports to the executive team and board.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Help identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor customer performance and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Support fundraising efforts or M&A activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years work experience as an accountant.
  • Start up experience is a must.
  • A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Accounting or a similar finance related field
  • Familiarity with UAE local/regional financial laws and regulations. KSA would be beneficial.
