Role Overview
The Compliance Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring Qashio's adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will support the compliance team in monitoring, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs. You will aid in the prevention of compliance risks by executing detailed preliminary and ongoing customer vetting, contributing to a robust and secure operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial reviews and due diligence checks on new and existing customers, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, including AML/CFT, KYC, and data protection, as per UAE regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and documentation.
- Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Provide support in responding to regulatory inquiries and requests for information.
- Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programs for employees.
- Support the compliance team in investigating and resolving compliance-related issues.
- Assist in the improvement of compliance related processes and systems.
- Support the compliance team with any ad hoc compliance related tasks.
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and updates, and assist the team in implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of compliance activities and reports, and ensure that all relevant documentation is readily accessible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Law or a related field).
- 1-3 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably in the Fintech industry.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (excel, word, powerpoint).
- Familiarity with compliance management software and auditing tools is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in compliance (e.e., ICA, CAMS, CFCS).
- Experience with AML/CFT, KYC, and data protection.
- Proficiency in preparing technical documents.
