Role Overview

As a Senior UX Designer at Qashio, you'll be a key player in shaping the user experience of our fintech products. You will contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the Product team, prioritize features based on user needs, and design aesthetic, simple, and intuitive experiences. This role requires a strong collaboration with Tech and Commercial teams, incorporating internal and external feedback to deliver impactful solutions. While this role involves UI design, the primary focus is on UX.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and motivations of users through usability testing, interviews, surveys, and observational studies.
  • Develop user personas by identifying key behavioral attributes and psychographic traits that our users possess.
  • Establish and refine Information Architecture to ensure customers can easily navigate across mobile and desktop experiences.
  • Create wireframes to illustrate the structure of screens and pages, clarifying layout and content hierarchy.
  • Develop clickable prototypes to gather user feedback and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Conduct design thinking and user-focused workshops to rapidly brainstorm, iterate, and validate new features.
  • Craft and design interactive elements (IXD) to enhance how users feel and engage with the product.
  • Perform benchmarking and competitor analysis to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with product designers to create visual elements such as layouts, colors, fonts, typography, and imagery in alignment with brand standards.
  • Work with product managers to help prioritize features based on customer needs and business impact.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of design systems, guidelines, and UX principles, including Material UI and Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Create high-performing user interfaces that deliver intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing experiences for both platform and application.
  • Develop design concepts, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for products and websites.
  • Document and maintain user journeys, process flows and sitemaps to ensure a cohesive end-to-end customer experience.
  • Contribute to clear and concise UX copy that effectively guides users and enhances overall usability.
  • Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards and guidelines to create inclusive experiences for all users.
  • Analyze user data and A/B testing results to inform design decisions and measure the impact of product changes.
  • Define and advocate for the UX vision, aligning it with overarching business objectives in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Set design objectives and success metrics, establishing and tracking UX KPIs (e.g., task completion rates, user satisfaction).
  • Mentor and coach junior designers by providing guidance and feedback.
  • Promote a user-centric culture across teams, influencing product roadmaps and development priorities.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to ensure feasibility, maintain quality, and iterate on design constraints.
  • Manage and engage with stakeholders by communicating design decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes to secure buy-in.
  • Plan and run end-to-end design sprints, leading workshops to ideate, prototype, and validate solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
  • Oversee design QA by developing processes to verify visual consistency, accessibility compliance, and responsiveness before go-live.
  • Enforce brand and style guidelines to keep all design deliverables consistent with Qashio’s identity and tone.
  • Synthesize research findings to identify trends and insights that shape product strategy and direction.
  • Champion continuous discovery by implementing feedback loops and user research methods to track evolving user needs.
  • Influence organizational change by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and processes with a user-centric mindset.
  • Lead by example by representing the user's perspective in product discussions and decisions, ensuring high-quality UX standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
  • Prior experience working with a Fintech company is a plus.
  • Experience working with a B2B company, preferably in the SaaS sector.
  • Strong user experience, user interface and visual design skills.
  • Passion for interaction design and ability to prototype interactive experiences.
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy.
  • Experience in leadership and being a mentor to the rest of the team.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to argue design biases.
  • Mastery of Figma and good knowledge of prototyping and user testing tools.
  • Portfolio of previous designs that demonstrate good visual/graphic design skills, including typography, color, layouts, grids, research methodology, etc.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in Arabic is a plus.
