Chief of Staff to Founding Partner
One Way Ventures
About One Way Ventures
One Way Ventures backs the most exceptional immigrant founders at the pre-seed and seed stages. With over $100M in AUM and a strong track record of top-quartile fund performance, we’re a conviction-driven fund operating out of Boston and Silicon Valley. Our team works hands-on with founders on mindset, strategy, and network to help them build generational companies in fintech, logistics, deep tech, and more. We’re a tight-knit, high-output group with a mission that resonates deeply; and we’re looking for a Chief of Staff to help amplify our impact.
The Role
We’re seeking a sharp, proactive, and highly organized Chief of Staff to support our Founding Partner in Boston across strategic priorities, operational execution, and internal communications. This is a high-leverage role for someone who loves operating in the chaos of early-stage venture, thrives on context switching, and wants a front-row seat to how great funds scale.
This is a two-year role, after which we’ll actively help you transition into a leadership or operating role at one of our portfolio companies.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Enablement: Serve as a force multiplier for the GPs—filtering priorities, preparing briefings, and ensuring follow-through on key initiatives.
- Operational Oversight: Drive internal processes including OKRs, pipeline reviews, founder communications, and team accountability.
- Dealflow Management: Coordinate investment meetings, ensure CRM hygiene (Affinity), and manage follow-ups from founder and LP interactions.
- LP Communications: Partner with the team to support quarterly updates, fundraising materials, and LP engagement touchpoints.
- Time & Calendar Optimization: Guard and optimize GP time, ensuring strategic focus and balance across founder support, investment activity, and firm building.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
- Have 2 to 4 years of experience in tech, startups, consulting, investment banking, or an operational Chief of Staff role.
- Are ruthlessly organized, love complex calendars, and make things happen behind the scenes.
- Have strong judgment, a low ego, and can keep sensitive information confidential.
- Write crisply and communicate with executives, founders, and LPs with polish.
- Have a bias for action and are energized by ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Appreciate the power of immigrants and building a world-changing platform.
Nice to Have
- Experience working directly with founders or GPs in a VC or accelerator context.
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Airtable, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Event planning chops or experience managing offsites and retreats.
