Job Summary

Lynk is looking for a RF Systems Technical Project Manager to oversee technology development projects related to our satellites and their wireless payloads. This role will be responsible for developing and managing assigned technology development projects from cradle to grave, guiding and enabling the future path along Lynk’s Technology Roadmap. This requires an individual that is entrepreneurial and drives/assists in the pursuit of technology development efforts across Lynk’s organization.

Managing RF systems technical projects at Lynk requires familiarity with wireless communications, modern communications signals and protocols, RF system design, high speed digital design, COTS component integration, and software and hardware development. The effective candidate thrives equally in informing/architecting the future and setting the necessary project plan for execution of strategically significant efforts across multi-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

The RF Systems Technical Project Manager will manage technical projects in the wireless communication domain. Specific activities include

  • Manage multiple RF systems projects that span from concept generation through product realization for new technology development efforts in the wireless communications domain.

  • Coordinate with project sponsors and key senior team members in defining and budgeting for new technology development efforts.

  • Work with technology leads to define projects at the task level including task definition, duration, and relationship to other tasks, as well as resource loading projects to create measurable schedules.

  • Understand, manage, and take ownership of cost, schedule, and technical performance and risks associated with assigned efforts.

  • Act as the primary interface to project sponsors, key senior team members, and other stakeholders on project status and performance.

  • Interact regularly with suppliers / subcontractors related to technology development projects.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or better in science, engineering, or relevant technical field from an accredited university; a Master Degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.

  • 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in a Technical Project Management role.

  • Technical understanding of and experience working on RF System development projects, including RFFE design and test, antenna design and test, and digital beamforming system design and test (e.g., beamformers).

  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead or Project Manager working in the RF domain is a plus.

  • Exposure to government programs and a current active security clearance is a plus.

  • Knowledge and understanding of processes, tools, and metrics essential for project monitoring and control and risk management.

  • Experience transitioning technologies from a design concept to a functioning product is a plus.
