Job Summary

Lynk is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Stack Developer with a passion for CI/CD and test automation to join our Mission Operations Ground DevOps team. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and maintaining our mission-critical ground software systems for ground station and satellite command and control operations, while also taking ownership of establishing robust CI/CD pipelines and representative test environments. You will work closely with other software engineers, mission operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, testing, and deployment of software components.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications for satellite command and control, ground station operations, and mission data processing.

  • Contribute to the front-end and back-end development of our applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of modular software components.

  • Build and maintain test environments that closely simulate production mission operations and satellite flight conditions.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools for both development and CI/CD processes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in full-stack development and space systems.

What You’ll Work on in Your First 12 Months

  • Develop and Enhance Mission Operations Software:

    • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for our existing software applications.

    • Ensure the software meets the evolving needs of our satellite constellation and ground

  • Optimize Full-Stack Performance and Scalability

    • Enhance both frontend and backend systems to improve responsiveness, scalability, and reliability.

    • Implement performance optimizations to support real-time data processing and seamless user interactions for mission operations.

  • Build and Improve Test Environments

    • Design and implement representative test environments that closely mimic production conditions.

    • Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and technologies.

    • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for various software components.

  • Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines

    • Develop and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for our primary software systems, focusing on automation, reliability, and scalability.

    • Integrate automated testing and quality gates into the pipelines.

    • Establish clear monitoring and reporting mechanisms for pipeline health and performance.

  • Collaborate and Integrate with Development Teams

    • Work closely with other software engineers to ensure seamless integration of their code into the CI/CD pipelines.

    • Provide guidance and support on CI/CD and testing best practices.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer with proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, github, gitlab, etc.

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies, such as PyTest, Jest, JUnit, etc.

  • Experience building and managing test environments for software validation.

  • Proficiency in core frontend technologies, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and experience with at least one framework, such as Svelte, React, Vue. Preference for experience with TailwindCSS and Svelte 5.

  • Strong proficiency in at least two server-side languages, such as Node.js, Python, Rust, with preference for Python and Rust.

  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis' , 'DynamoDB, etc.

  • Familiarity with frontend test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with OpenAPI and Protocol Buffers is a plus.

  • Familiarity with containerization, such as Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Strong understanding of software development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD for mission-critical software, particularly in space systems or IoT.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, for managing test environments.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP . AWS is preferred

  • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and test environments.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
