Job Title: Product Designer (UX/UI), Exports Squad
Reports to: Design Manager / Staff Product Designer
Location: Bangalore (Onsite)
Work Allocation: Monday-Friday (UK Shift)
Key Relationships: Product Team and Engineering Team
Job Purpose: Easyship is a shipping technology platform that connects sellers and marketplaces to couriers. In addition to our main Easyship app, we also operate an "Exports" programme, where we help large marketplaces facilitate international delivery for their sellers. This involves processing packages via our international warehouses, where we receive packages from local sellers, process them, and ship them out internationally to the end customers.
This Product Designer role will be working primarily in our Exports programme squad. You will be designing and evolving the internal application that powers our international warehouses and manages the entire flow of packages across the warehouse floor. Your main goal will be to deliver exceptional user experiences that power our warehouse associates' workflow - translating often complex operational needs into intuitive designs that drive faster processing of packages.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of our warehouse operations, their needs, and designing solutions to improve efficiency and increase profitability
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify user pain points and needs
- Create customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes
- Conduct usability testing to validate the effectiveness of the design
- Create designs that meet user, business and technical requirements
- Collaborate and consult with engineering team and stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are feasible and scalable
- Contribute to shaping the product roadmap for the warehouse app
- Supporting other squads with ad hoc projects, if capacity allows
Required Skills & Personal Qualities:
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design
- Solid understanding of the design thinking process & methodology
- Familiar with the use of a design system and design tools, such as Figma
- An interest in warehouse operations and shipping logistics
- Some experience of, or interest in, service design; designing not just UI solutions, but also designing processes to ensure the seamless flow of packages across the physical warehouse floor
- Ability to gather and integrate user feedback into designs through moderated and unmoderated testing
- Problem-solving and analytical: Your design approach is driven by data
- Ability to communicate design decisions effectively in English and demonstrate good UX writing
- Strong communication / interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with your squad, other stakeholders and interact with users
- A good understanding of the e-commerce, logistics and technology industry is an advantage
