Job Title: Senior QA Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Location: Bangalore, India. Full Time - Office
Key Relationships: Marketing, Support, Engineering, Product.
Work Hours: European Time Zone.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong foundation in manual testing and solid experience in test automation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous manual testing and contribute to automation efforts using Python, Playwright, and Pytest.
We are building a QA team of professionals who are not only detail-oriented testers but also problem-solvers with a proactive mindset. You’ll be expected to take ownership of your work, contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, and help ensure a high-quality experience for our users.
What you’ll do:

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle for new and existing features.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to provide meaningful feedback.
- Design, write, and maintain detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate manual testing activities.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly using bug-tracking tools.
- Conduct comprehensive regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Apply testing processes for both new and existing products based on client needs.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to clarify system requirements.
- Use browser dev tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) to inspect elements, monitor network calls, and debug UI/JS issues.
Automation Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain automated test cases for critical workflows using Python, Playwright, and Pytest.
- Contribute to expanding and maintaining the automated regression suite, identifying high-value areas for test coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and work closely with DevOps or engineering teams to streamline test execution.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation test failures to ensure reliability and consistency.
Collaborate on test strategy, test design, and test data management for automated scenarios.
Who you are:
- 5–7 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong focus on manual testing and significant experience in test automation.
- Experience with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Familiar with test management tools.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and DOM structure to inspect and troubleshoot UI issues.
- Confident in using browser developer tools to analyze page behavior and debug UI/JS problems.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright and Pytest using Python.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments (SCRUM/Kanban).
- Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and a methodical approach to testing.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to solve problems independently.
- Passionate about quality and continuously improving the testing process.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
- Understanding of REST APIs and ability to test them manually or via tools like Postman.
- Exposure to containerization tools (e.g., Docker) or cloud platforms.
- Experience designing or maintaining scalable automation frameworks is a plus.
