Head of Supply

As Head of Supply at Burq, you will oversee the network of delivery service providers (DSP’s) who fulfill our merchants’ deliveries, working closely with the co-founders, demand-side and technical teams to scale that area of our business. Not only will you grow and nurture Burq’s DSP partnerships, you will develop and execute strategies to diversify and performance manage the network to deliver for our merchants. You will also collaborate with a dedicated product manager to evolve Burq’s supply-related product offerings and enhance the DSP experience, so that Burq becomes a preferred partner for all DSP’s.

This role is a great fit for those with general management experience who want to have an immediate impact scaling the business at an early-stage tech startup.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and scale of our DSP network, working closely with a product manager and biz dev manager on your team, as well as Burq's senior execs, demand-side and tech teams
  • Responsible for DSP acquisition, relationship management, pricing, and operational performance
  • Advocate for the DSP experience and build solutions to create stickiness with the Burq platform
  • Work in close alignment with the demand side of the business to identify opportunities where Burq’s supply side can be uniquely positioned to add merchant value or vertical expansion
  • Own the DSP sales and success process start-to-finish, from prospecting to contract negotiation to technical integration, all the way to relationship management, growth strategies and conducting business reviews
  • Inform the product roadmap with the key features that will be needed to scale the supply-side
  • Identify internal and external supply-specific KPI’s and build an effective DSP performance management playbook
  • Develop and implement DSP diversification strategies
  • Become an expert on last mile logistics, the major national and local players, and how Burq fits into the industry
  • Eventually, design and hire a team to continue to scale the network
