Brelyon amplifies the human-computer experience by designing around light and the visual experience of displays. We have already shipped hundreds of units around the world and continue to focus on early adopting markets.
The Technical Account Manager will play a key role in sourcing, developing, and closing sales, especially in the automotive and defense industries. Reporting to the COO and CEO, you will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, facilitate all communications and documentation, and expedite the sales process. Job responsibilities, outlined below, require both meticulous attention to details and crisp, elegant communication skills, and the successful applicant will assist in streamlining operations to scale up business activity.
Reporting to the COO and CEO as we prepare to scale up the business, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in sourcing, developing and closing deals especially in automotive and DoD. The Technical Account Manager will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, engineer custom or existing solution configurations, and facilitate the sales process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Full (5 days per week) on-site presence at Brelyon HQ (San Mateo) to support the business team.
- Understand key needs of clients and develop partnerships to meet those needs:
- Prompt correspondence with clients to keep the pipeline moving forward, from answering emails and calls to keeping records in CRM systems.
- Reading, processing, and producing contracts, quotes and proposals.
- Assisting with managing sales funnels and updating clients regularly.
- Prepare sales and marketing materials, reports, & technical information.
- Coordinate sales visits, actively attend events like conferences or trade shows.
- Provide technical product demonstrations, presentations, training, and support to help clients discover and understand Brelyon’s products/services.
- Streamline efforts to scale business activities.
- Develop sales opportunities, trial opportunities, and program integration opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
- Solicit new accounts and initiate new opportunities.
- Track, review, and communicate sales performance to the executive team.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and/or notable technical sales experience, preferably with a background in enterprise hardware sales.
- Exceptional experience processing and producing contracts, quotes, and proposals in a multi-tasking manner. Familiarity with typical terms and conditions and contract language, etc.
- Verbal and written fluency: excellent communication skills, especially including the ability to explain technical details clearly, to listen to client feedback, and to relay information to colleagues and supervisors.
- Strong technical skills for research, analysis, and data entry.
- Track record of adept interpersonal skills in prospecting, relationship-building, negotiating, closing, and relationship management.
- Creative and strategic problem-solving skills, on-the-fly troubleshooting.
- Experience with, and customer-focused passion, for customer development.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel, give demos, set up demos, and explain the product.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Brelyon.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in hardware, display technology, or consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with AR/VR and/or light-field technologies.
- Experience in defense, automotive, oil & gas, industrial, or data visualization hardware or software solutions.
- Experience with CRM tools and lead-generation resources.
- Fluency in additional languages.
