Billdr is building the AI-native operating system for SMB General contractors and Home builders. Today, thousands of construction professionals across the US & Canada already rely on our vertical SaaS Billdr PRO to run estimating, scheduling, team coordination, project management workflows, budgeting, and payments.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re expanding our executive team with a Director of Finance & Operations who will help us scale from a high-growth seed-stage company into a dominant multi-vertical platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-growth environments, can build systems from scratch, and wants to operate at the intersection of vertical SaaS, fintech and AI.

What you’ll do

Finance & Strategic Operations

Lead month-end close, financial reporting, cash management, and budgeting with accuracy and discipline.
Build and maintain the company’s financial model, working closely with the CEO on revenue forecasts, unit economics, and key SaaS metrics.
Support the CEO in building our pricing strategy across multiple verticals
Prepare Board reporting, diligence materials, and financial narrative.
Support upcoming fundraising cycles: data room prep, KPIs, scenario modeling, and investor materials.
Strengthen internal controls, vendor management, spend policies, and financial processes.

People Operations

Own the hiring function end-to-end: pipeline management, compensation benchmarking, coordination with hiring managers, and candidate experience.
Manage payroll, benefits administration, and annual compensation cycles (goal is to build toward a scalable People Ops function as the team grows).
Build an onboarding program that gets new hires to full productivity fast.
Implement systems for performance reviews, org planning, compliance, and culture amplification.

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

Partner with the CEO to identify, evaluate, and structure strategic partnerships that accelerate product expansion and revenue growth: e.g fintech infrastructure (embedded finance, payments, lending), construction materials suppliers.
Coordinate cross-functional execution with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.

What we’re looking for

Proven track record building financial and operational infrastructure at a high-growth SaaS or fintech startup. You’ve seen what “seed to Series A/B” looks like and you know what needs to be done operationally.
Strong command of SaaS metrics, revenue modeling, forecasting, and financial controls.
Comfortable in ambiguous, high-velocity environments; you’re capable of creating structure where none exists.
Attention to detail: you’re the person who catches the error in the model that everyone else missed. You leave no stones unturned.
Exceptional communicator: clear, concise, and strong with board-level stakeholders.
Highly cross-functional: you can move between finance, HR, operations, BD, and product strategy with ease.
Deep ownership mindset: you work hard for a long period of time, you want to scale something meaningful and you take pride in being the operator behind the scenes who makes the machine run.
Bonus: you can code in SQL, Python, and or comfortable with Zapier automation
