Billdr is built for one of the largest and least digitized industries on Earth: construction. Our software powers small-to-mid-sized general contractors (GCs) across North America, helping them run more profitable and efficient businesses.

With strong momentum (4x growth YoY), we’re now looking to double our engineering team by hiring 4 senior software engineers ready to help us bring our vision to life: becoming the digital backbone of construction in North America. What You’ll Do

Build core features across our web platform, mobile application and APIs.
Collaborate directly with product and design to translate user needs into beautiful and functional software.
Lead technical architecture conversations as we scale usage, teams, and domains (estimating, procurement, payments, field ops).
Identify performance bottlenecks, enforce code quality, and mentor engineers around you.
Contribute to hiring and shaping our engineering culture as we scale from 3 to 10+.

What We’re Looking For

6+ years of hands-on experience in modern web application development.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python (We’re on nextJS / Django).
Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
Comfortable working across the stack (frontend/backend) even if you lean one way.
Thoughtful communicator who cares deeply about the user experience and code craftsmanship.
Leverage AI tools effectively to increase development speed and efficiency.
Past experience in a startup or product-driven environment is a strong plus.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in compensating top engineers generously. Here’s what we offer:

Compensation Package (Montreal-based)

Base Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 CAD
Equity: 0.25% – 0.50% (4-year vesting with 1-year cliff)
Annual Bonus: Performance-based cash bonus (up to 10%)
