As a Full-Stack Engineer at Axle, you will be helping design our core platform, working closely with the founders to make key product decisions, and building cool tech for our customers as we enable the future of transportation.
You’ll help architect our most basic data flows, build a robust and scalable platform, and grapple with questions of data privacy and usability. We’re going to track millions of data points from millions of trucks across the world; we’ll need our infrastructure to support that!
Your role will include wrangling complex real-time data formats and harmonizing them across all sorts of different IoT devices so that we can give our customers a streamlined experience. This means digging in with APIs from dozens of different devices, problem-solving with customers, and building a platform for managing the end to end data flow.
Finally, you will help build a repeatable and consistent process for onboarding new sources of real time, transportation IoT data. Help us build our universal data platform for transportation!
Our current technology stack is in Go, React, and AWS. And, we’re a remote-friendly company with folks in Boston and New York City.
Roles and Responsibilities
Help structure and shape core tenets of the product
Exhibit thought and technical leadership
Design and build repeatable, well-documented processes and code
Build integrations with customers and data sources
Qualifications
2-4+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience with API-first frameworks (e.g. Django, Rails, Fast API, Go Fiber, NodeJS) and optimizing distributed systems
Experience integrating with third party APIs
Experience with SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
Nice to haves
Experience with Go
Experience with AWS dev ops
Experience with React
Experience engaging with developers and users of a product
